1. Agreement
These Terms apply when you use ROYU. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. Optional analytics, marketing and Apple tracking permissions are separate choices—not part of accepting these Terms.
2. The ROYU service
ROYU offers language learning for two linked profiles, including vocabulary, grammar, personal progress and shared activities. Some features require an internet connection, a compatible device, a linked partner or Premium access.
3. Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. Do not share accounts or impersonate someone else. You must be legally able to accept these Terms, with a parent or guardian’s permission where required.
4. Couple features and invitations
Only invite someone you intend to learn with, and keep invitation links private. Linking profiles makes the information used by shared features visible to your partner.
Shared goals and league participation require partner agreement. Ending the relationship, resetting a shared workspace or deleting an account may remove shared content for both people. Learning goals and rankings are not qualifications or certificates.
5. Your content
You keep your rights in the content you submit. You give ROYU permission to store, process and display it as needed to provide and protect the requested service. Do not submit content that infringes another person’s rights.
6. AI features
AI features provide learning assistance, not professional advice. Their answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important information and avoid submitting sensitive personal details.
8. Acceptable use
Use ROYU lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass others, share unlawful content, misuse invitations, disrupt the service, bypass access limits or subscriptions, or collect other people’s data without permission.
9. Intellectual property
ROYU’s name, logo, software, design and official learning content are protected by intellectual-property rights. Your access is for using the service under these Terms, not for copying, reselling or redistributing it without permission.
10. Availability and changes
We may update features or interrupt access for maintenance, security or legal reasons. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features marked “coming soon” are not yet available.
11. Disclaimers
ROYU is provided as available, without a promise of specific learning results or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms removes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or losses caused by relying solely on AI answers. This does not limit liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
13. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using ROYU or delete your account at any time. We may restrict access for serious misuse, fraud, security risks or legal requirements, with notice where appropriate and legally required. Terms that naturally continue, such as ownership provisions, remain applicable.
14. Apple terms
Apple’s applicable terms also govern downloads and purchases through the App Store. ROYU handles app support. Where applicable, Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce the iOS licence terms as third-party beneficiaries. The Apple Standard EULA is linked above.
15. Governing law and disputes
Applicable mandatory consumer rights remain protected. If you have a dispute, contact our legal address so we can try to resolve it. Nothing here removes your right to use a competent court or other remedies available under applicable law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the revision date and notify you when required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
